DEA 230/2

The DEA 230/2 is a high-performance dielectric measurement system designed for both laboratory dielectric analysis of polymers and in-process cure monitoring of thermosets. It features frequency sweeping from 0.001 Hz to 100 kHz for the characterization of a wide range of polymers. The DEA 230/2 utilizes the full range of Micromet's dielectric sensors including the patented Low Conductivity Integrated Circuit Sensor (Chip sensor) for highly accurate measurements of both loss factor and permittivity and for measuring conductivity values as low as 10-16 siemens/cm. Two dielectric sensors can be monitored simultaneously.

Main applications include research and development of resins, composites, paints, coatings, oils, and lubricants.

DEA 230/10 Dielectrometer

The DEA 230/10 is a ten channel, fully integrated dielectric measurement system containing the same high quality electronics as our System III Microdielectrometer that is widely used throughout the world. The DEA 230/10 is compatible with all Netzsch dielectric sensors except the Low Conductivity Integrated Circuit Sensor. Each channel monitors both dielectric and temperature data and frequency sweeping capability enables the full cure profile to be obtained in a single experiment. Sensors and controlling computer interface cables are plugged directly into the rear of the 230/10 which makes this integrated design ideal for factory floor use. Ten channels allow multiple samples, multiple locations, multiple parts, or multiple processes to be monitored.

Main applications include process development, monitoring, and control of composites, coatings, electronic materials, and more.

DEA 230/1 Cure Monitor

The DEA 230/1 is a complete, low cost, portable, single channel dielectric measurement system. When controlled through RS-232 communications, the system will measure and calculate a full range of dielectric parameters, including loss factor, permittivity, conductivity, ion viscosity, and temperature. Standard Micromet Software packages may be used to control the DEA 230/1 or software may be supplied by the user. Alternatively, the system will output 0-5 Volt signals proportional to AC resistance, capacitance, and temperature. Available frequencies are 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 Hz.

Main applications include QA/QC, process development, monitoring and control of composites, paints, and coatings.

DEA 231/1 Cure Analyzer

The DEA 231/1 Cure Analyzer is a low cost dielectric cure monitoring system designed for applications where high measurement speed at only a single sensor location is required. The DEA 231/1 can measure at frequencies of 10, 100, 1000, and 10000 Hz at a maximum sampling rate of 55 milliseconds and can also accept inputs from a thermocouple, pressure sensor, and LVDT. The 231/1 communicates over the parallel port with a controlling computer running the ICAM Software for Windows95/98/NT.

Main applications include QA/QC, research, and process development, monitoring, and control of fast curing thermosetting resin systems such as SMC, BMC, other molding compounds and UV curing materials.

DEA 231/4 Multi-Channel Cure Analyzer

The DEA 231/4 Multi-Channel Cure Analyzer is a high speed instrument for measuring fast curing materials. The system measures up to four inputs; dielectric, temperature, pressure and a generic analog input (i.e. LVDT), on each of up to four available channels. The DEA 231/4 can make measurements as fast as 55 milliseconds per channel at a single, user selectable frequency. The Critical Point Control software package offers high level SPC/SQC analysis that enables comprehensive analysis of production trends and batch-to-batch and sample-to-sample testing. As a production control system the DEA 231/4 provides reduced cycle times, consistent cures, and improved scrap rates. As a quality control system the DEA 231/4 offers a rugged, automated, easy-to-use test station.

Main applications include research and development, QA/QC, and process monitoring, and control of polyester, vinylester and epoxy molding compounds, urethanes, and other fast curing materials

DEA 234 CurePak Thru-Oven Cure Analyzer

The DEA 234 CurePak is a battery operated, self-contained dielectric instrument for analyzing the in-process curing/drying behavior of paints and coatings and other applications where remote sensing is required. The instrument can monitor up to four dielectric and temperature channels and is designed to travel through an oven along with sensors attached to the part. The DEA 234 CurePak is protected from elevated temperatures by a thermally insulating enclosure.

Main applications include process development, process verification, and production control in large conveyor ovens.

MPS 235 MiniPress

The MPS 235 is a portable, pneumatic benchtop compression press that is operated by compressed air, (110 psi max.). The MPS 235 is available in 200oC or 400oC maximum temperature limit versions and is fully programmable for multiple ramps rates as well as individual platen temperature control. The press provides up to 2,000 lbs. clamping force over the 4" x 8" platen area. This simple to use press can be used with our dielectric instrumentation as a research and development press or to provide a turnkey quality control test station; or it can be used as a stand alone press for light molding applications.
